Buddy

We finally have a new addition to our family.....Buddy. Rosie and Lizzy came to visit today and both joined me at our local SPCA. There were LOTS of cats looking for good homes. After about 3 hours....yes, 3 hours, I finally made a decision.

FAT CAT, who has been renamed Buddy, was at the shelter for 5 months. From the paperwork I received, it seemed that he was a two-time shelter cat. Buddy is at least 6 years old but is in good shape. His eyes don't have the glint and glow of a younger cat but there is still a lot of years left in him. He is a neutered male tiger with white. He is a lover boy. When Rosie and I were in the 'isolation booth room' with him, he would push his head into our legs wanting us to pet him. (Guess he knew we were a couple of suckers!)

When we brought him home, we set him up in the basement with poopy box, food and water and a cozy place to feel safe. He immediately zoomed under the furthest corner of the cellar under Carl's print drawers. We left the cellar light on and closed the upstairs door. I checked a few times and saw him scooting around the cellar and he used his poopy box---which means he is a good boy!

Rosie and Lizzy left to go home around 11:30pm so I began puttering around upstairs but left the cellar door open. Buddy came upstairs and started checking the upstairs. He then came to me as I began typing this email wanting to be petted. Buddy is now lying on the floor in the TV room about 3 feet from he and looks comfortable.
